When I try to set up my gmail, facebook or linked accounts I require two-step verification. My phone will vibrate and display a text led notification, but no text message ever appears.

This only started after I downloaded 10.3.1. As this is the only problem I have noticed I would hate to have to revert back to 10.2 just for a fix.

Leaks can have issues. features missing or hobbled. 10.3 is coming in the next month or two and hopefully that will be fixed/addressed...

What about using an app instead of a text message for two-factor authentication?

Try Authomator (blackberry world). In Gmail you just have to add an android (not BlackBerry) device, and it will display the QR code, which you can scan using Authomator.

    Use Google Authenticator.
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ticator2&hl=en

It is Google's own application and works perfectly.

    Cong Tuan Nguyen,
I do not use any sms blockers. Also, these two SMS messages are the only ones that do not appear. All others are sent normally.

    cbcoza,

    Thank you,
I downloaded this app and it still would not allow me to sign in; the barcode scanner crashes and I do not have a list of backup codes. I have only ever used the SMS codes sent to me and application specific codes for apps.

    As suggested before use Authomator:
    http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/22517879
There is no need for an Android app when such a great native app is available.
Just change in Gmail your 2 step auth from SMS to app and select Android device (not BlackBerry). Open Authomator and add the QR Code, it will definitively not crash :-)

If you are not receiving any of the internet message, then may be Do not disturb service is activated on your phone. Call your carrier customer care.

I have found when upgrading an OS TXT messages don't show up in the full HUB for a while so that makes the 2-step authentication TXT take a while to arrive. Sometimes they arrive earlier in the TXT only portion of the HUB.

O have been known to login to Gmail and change the option to call me when I find myself getting upset having to wait.

You might want to look there.
