Funny how the Facebook "app" from BlackBerry is a link to the FB website which now crashes the BlackBerry browser every single time. Looks like it's time to relegate my Passport to the stack of previous BB'S I have owned and get a Galaxy or Lumia... yeah I know! Oh wait... didn't Chen say the handset business has to return to profitability? Hah hah hah... yeah sign me as a disgruntled BlackBerry owner!

Just started experiencing this too! Launching Facebook through the browser (either using BB's launcher or just going there myself in the browser) crashes immediately. I've cleared the cache, etc but nothing works.
This seems like a pretty major issue. Any thoughts?

I even tried to get to it through the private browser, and it crashes as well. I guess Facebook has it in for BlackBerry

I get the exact same crash. After I reboot, I can browse to Facebook once, but after I close the browser, then the next time I browse to Facebook, it crashes.
It does this on both the BlackBerry browser and the Zeus browser.
Using AT&T Passport 10.3.2.556.
This behavior just started yesterday.

I've had this problem for about a week (ever since face10 couldn't show groups)

Remove the new FB app, delete any home screen bookmarked FB pages, open the browser and under development tools select desktop version. Close then reopen the browser and type in m.facebook.com/(yourprofilename) Your profile name is the link you would normally see at the end of the url. Bookmark that page on your homescreen. You can now use that link to access FB and just hit the 3 lines in the top right corner and select Most Recent to get to your feed.

mbasic.facebook.com is the only thing that works now.

Someone else want to try going into the Developer Tools and turning off "Disk Cache"? Seemed to do the trick for me.

Save profile page to homescreen (m.facebook.com/username). Access newsfeed from there. This works.

Wow I only get crashes not crushed. Getting worse then

I have the same problem. Might be time to get a new phone...another kind. This sucks as I am always on face book and uploading pictures there right from my phone. Blackberry get with it
Same thing here. Give us updated runtime BlackBerry or Android OS.
I really hope that BlackBerry are looking into this because the support for their OS is diminishing quickly.
Shrugged off that I would be able to use the app, but now that it is crashing the browser too that is just not acceptable.

Same here. Crashes all the time

Open Google, type Facebook and one of your friend's name. Open that profile. Then click the 3 lines in right upper corner, then select your profile. Save your profile as a bookmark.
The FB homepage link is broken, so avoid it.
They have a KB article so hopefully.
"Browser Crash" appears when accessing Facebook on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone
worked once for me and thats it, still broken
Sorry, but it is working good for me. Do not use your icon if it links to the home page.
Ive tried multiple ways and it keeps crashing. if fast enough i can click on messages or something before it goes down I can get it to load, but thats it. No big loss though, probably better I stay off Facebook anyway, lol
Edit. I must have went to news feed after logging in and saved it there. I save it at my search for one of my friends and now I can log in if I use that search all the time. Thanks
Try it now. I had this issue for a few weeks and gave up on Facebook on my Passport, but it suddenly started working for me this morning.

How to fix:
Clear cookies, cache and delete any bookmarks and the old "app" link.
Open m.facebook.com sign in... all better now.
Make a new bookmark or home screen link. Edit that bm/link and make sure there is nothing other than m.facebook.com (remove any /xxxxx)
Now, email BlackBerry and tell them they're embarrassing.
I liked having Facebook notifications in the hub, sadly the 'update' removes this feature. Most likely this is a Facebook forced issue but I reserve equal contempt for the mighty Chen.
He is just another typical corporate bean counter. No vision, no apparent talent.
