    when i press my steering wheel HF call button (tacoma with kenwood dnx892) my bb assistant activates. the screen on the head unit does come on as well but the assistant has control. Did not operate like this prior to OS ver 2789. thoughts ??

    It's acting like Siri eyes free. Many vehicles and infotainment systems support this nowadays. Sounds like something in the update woke up the kenwood to that capability in your BlackBerry. Usually systems I've seen do this required 2 taps of vehicle hands free button to kick off the phone audio assistant passthrough, where 1 press would simply initiate the built in car/deck assistant.

    I wish I could get a firmware update for my vehicle to do that.

    If for some reason you don't like, I assume the kenwood has configuration to turn this off.
