OS 10.3 has not been officially released as yet. It's only available to developers in an incomplete version, or though leaks.

In fact, the Z10 won't get 10.3 officially. You will have to wait for 10.3.1 which is slated to come out around November.

No specific date yet. And even then, it depends on when your carrier decides to allow it to be sent to your phone.

If you're on a US mobile carrier, expect it sometime after the new year. That's not definite, just based on past experience.

If you feel so strong about it then go ahead and move to the other side. 10.3 won't come officially until September and 10.3.1 won't come until November. If you can't wait then go ahead make the switch.

Threads like these make me laugh... 10.2.1 was officially released, what... five months ago (depending on where you live and who your provider is)? Most major OS platforms release a new branch about once per year. People are so impatient.

^^^ well that's BlackBerry's fault for teasing us so damn early with 10.3. Then non avid crackberry users see highlights of a new OS somewhere on the Internet and think it is available.

The worst part of new OS's is the availability when it is released. I don't like how it's not a global rollout. Guess that's the carriers fault than BlackBerry 's.

Okay, go ahead and use an unready OS with a s**tload of bugs and missing basic features.

And the new OS isn't supposed to be on user's hands, people just illegally leak them out.

So they should publish the developer OS and the finished OS at the same time? And would apps be ready for 10.3?

And Apple has a big event announcing iOS 8, and it comes out 3-4 months later.

Really only Apple can release an OS at the same time across all compatible devices and carriers.

I really understand the 10.3 craze. It's for all the cool kids. But as a seasoned veteran I'm more looking forward to the ultimate bullet-proof version of the 10.2 branch. I will probably be waiting longer for it than you will for the new stuff.

TLDR; I'm still firmly in the "meh" camp regarding 10.3. But I'm glad it exists and has people excited.

Your welcome for that useless, off topic post.

I'm in the same camp as you. I am interested in what's coming in 10.3, but as for putting it on my device and dealing with all of the headaches I am also very much in the "meh" camp. :-)

Everyone relax. 10.3/10.3.1 will get here when it gets hear and begging on this forum wont change any of that. You can load a 10.3 leak if you want to try it sooner. those are your only 2 options really
