Lately I've experienced an issue with my BlackBerry Q10 with people who are trying to call me with a phone number which is not in my contacts.

Today I experienced it again. I gave a friend of me my phone number and he wanted to call me to give me his phone number. When he called me he went to my voicemail. When I looked in the phone app I saw that I had a missed call of his number.

Does anybody else has this problem??

I'm running SR 10.3.0.738/OS 10.3.0.1154/Radio 10.3.0.1155 on my SQN100-3

Sorry if this was asked before, I did my search but couldn't find anything about this.
Besides that, I've put this in the BlackBerry 10 OS section instead of the Q10 section because I think it could be OS related instead of only Q10 related. If my way of thinking was wrong, please ADMINS change the section.

Go to parental setting. There you can find menu.

Sounds like you have your phone restricted to only accept call from people on your contact list. Go through your parental controls

Solution-

Turn on the parental settings.
Restrict to receive from contacts only.
And then turn it off again.

Let me know if it works.

What I've tried now was the following:

- Turn Parental Controls ON
- Turn on calls only from contacts
- Turn off calls only from contacts
- Turn Parental Controls OFF

Now I have to wait for an occasion where a unknown number will cal me.

If you don't want to wait, delete a friend from your contacts and ask him/her to call you.

I had the exact same problem with my Z10 after I upgraded to 1154. I went so far as to replace the sim card to no avail. The solution to the problem is not to do any restore after the upgrade. I had to wipe the phone via link. Then manually reinstall all accounts, contacts and apps. The never reappeared. I believe that when a restore was made something triggered an error to occur with call forwarding, sending all non contact calls to voice mail. Hope this helps.

I originally did exactly the same thing, when it started acting up I then redid it with the autoloader.

This morning I was called by a number which was not in my contacts and it worked!!
