"Dead" is too strong word. How about "legacy" instead? That's how Sony named PS Vita when it lost in sales to Nintendo 3DS (though might be bad example as third party support for Vita is pretty active, it's not like bb vs ios/android numbers of disbalance).

    That's a subjective opinion, not a fact.
Two facts: the lack of apps and the lack of support.
    One opinion: bb10 is better t:han ios/android
Another fact: bb10 would be the best without those lacks.

While I may agree with this, it doesn't make it a universal truth. It's still an opinion.

Exactly. It's personal preference. Just like a car or pizza.

There is pizza slowfood and pizza fast food...so there is bb10 os (slowfood) and android os (fastfood for everyone) that is my opinion but it's not a fact...

Some would argue Android is the best pizza for them. So yes, all opinions.

Please dont call pizza as fastfood. Real pizza, i mean. From restaurants or which you bake yourself.

I disagree with people who say BlackBerry 10 os is dead. It does everything just fine for me.
    I can make calls
    I can send texts
    I can use the web
    I can send email
    I can use facebook
    I can use whatsapp
    I can use bbm
    I can use instagram
    I can view pictures
    I can edit document
    I can capture photos
    I can listen to music

What more do you want from an os? agreed that bb10 doesn't have all the latest and greatest features like split screen multitasking of android and 3d touch of ios but how many people use 3d touch more than they use the features i just mentioned above... how many people use split screen multitasking more than they use the things i mentioned above? Almost no one. So if BlackBerry 10 can do all that then you really cant call it dead.

All that means is your device isn't dead. The platform itself, as many others have already covered, is pretty much 'dead.'

The best pizza does not have many ingredients, it has few ingredients but of good quality...But the majority prefer to have many ingredients in mediocre quality that confuse tastes .... so the true quality pizza (with slowfood ingredients) does not have much market ...

BB10 and BBOS aren't dead.... in the same way that Elvis isn't dead.... Only Elvis won't be dead for decades to come, I doubt BB10 phone will be usable 10 years from now (if anyone wanted to try and hold out that long).

    "Why is bb 10 dead?"

Not enough people bought BlackBerry 10 phones, and not enough developers made popular apps like Snapchat for it. Despite that, I'm still using it anyway.

You can call an os dead when it becomes what windows 7.5 has become... the web browser is unable to open anything and the inbuilt email client gets rejected... Facebook integration with people hub has stopped... and the marketplace doesn't open...all these are nokia's own features... not related to third parties... when the above don't work then you can call the os dead

Mate, I'm as much of a BlackBerry fanboy as the next guy, but you can't just live in denial. BB10 is not getting anymore development. Sure it's still useful now, but as Android apps stop working with the ancient 4.3, and the web browser fails to improve the OS will slowly become less useful for the everyday user. I say you should just accept this but still enjoy it while it lasts. I know this may be difficult to accept, but soon it will be just as useful as BB7, or IOS 5 on older devices.

Android? No thanks. Just give me BB10 and CP/M and I'm a happy man.

They had plenty of advertising in some big markets that didn't convert into sales.

No one in big markets ever heard about BB10 either. No one in big markets knows that BlackBerry has existed the last five years. People in big markets think it went out of business.
