I disagree with people who say BlackBerry 10 os is dead. It does everything just fine for me.
I can make calls
I can send texts
I can use the web
I can send email
I can use facebook
I can use whatsapp
I can use bbm
I can use instagram
I can view pictures
I can edit document
I can capture photos
I can listen to music

What more do you want from an os? agreed that bb10 doesn't have all the latest and greatest features like split screen multitasking of android and 3d touch of ios but how many people use 3d touch more than they use the features i just mentioned above... how many people use split screen multitasking more than they use the things i mentioned above? Almost no one. So if BlackBerry 10 can do all that then you really cant call it dead.

It's not dead in that it no longer works but there are no plans to further develop other than potential bug fixes. So it's not dead in the sense that it's gone but it has a limited future.

Other than calls, texts, and photos everything you listed is in a slow march to oblivion. Even the email (and mail ) apps can stop working if your provider decides to implement security features that BB10 does not understand. That is what people mean by "BB10 is dead".

If it works for you, that's fine. By all means, use it! But can you block numbers from calling you without a 3rd party app? No. You've not been using the OS for long. Once you've used it for a longer time period you'll find more and more things you can't do and need apps for. Therein lies the problem. Blackberry World app store is an embarrassment and the Google Play store apps are mostly requiring Google Play Services and a higher runtime which we will never get.

Believe me, I'd love to have my Classic as my main device but I'd lose far too much productivity if I did. In fact, I couldn't do my day job without iOS or Android as my daily driver.

But yeah, we've got a few threads like this now.

I dont understand why everyone is bent on trolling me... its just my opinion that BlackBerry 10 does all i want it to do and thats why for me it is the best. I say this after having used android 7.1.1 nougat, ios 10.2 and windows 10. All these os' came after BlackBerry 10.3.2 and they are still no match for BlackBerry in notifications, multitasking and speed. You see what i mean.

It is great that it does everything you need, but more and more users are realizing that it is not the case for them. Many of us are missing out and need apps for certain things that aren't available for OS10 for personal and professional use.
