I've deleted some apps from my q5 because I want some space but whenever I delete an app nothing changes on the storage space so any ideas? Thanks

Maybe a restart will do the trick

Maybe you didn't delete a heavy app. And where exactly are you looking?

Did you just tap and hold the icon and hit the trash can? That doesn't fully delete the app from your device, it just removes it from your homescreen. You can only fully uninstall apps from BlackBerry World.

I don't think that's true. I've successfully uninstalled many apps that way. And it worked fine for me.

There are two ways to delete an application, one if you don't intend to use it again, another if you intend to re-install later and want to keep any data you have generated that are stored with the application. BlackBerry World can do both, deleting on the home screen only does the latter. If there is no user generated data, or very little, stored with the application the two amount the same thing. If data is generated and stored with the application then the former will delete that data, the latter won't.

You can try re-installing the applications and then delete them from BlackBerry World.

Or directly from the Device Monitor, Storage tab, so you will see instantly the result

Unfortunately when you delete an application from the home screen, it no longer shows up in the storage tab.

To delete apps from the device:
    (after they have been uninstalled)

My World -> My Apps & Games -> Available -> tap and hold the one you want deleted from the device -> Delete in Menu (the cloud icon with X)

    Done.
