It would seem there is a BES policy on your device limiting access to BBM.

You might want to post in the BES section of this site to see if there is anyway to find out who may have activated the device initally, and if it's possible to remove the IT policy through a device wipe on OS10.

I think I have got some hint on why BBM is not working here. Since I am calling daily lot of sellers from ebay and olx selling similar model at similar price point, I confirmed one theory from multiple sources.

Per them production of Q10 has stopped in US (at least the white gold variant) so lot of spare parts were lying around which were manufactured by Asian countries. These spare parts are imported and assembled either in India or in a neighbouring country and then imported here. Unless it's a completely built unit the import duties are also less. This also means that technically BlackBerry is not the manufacturer of these phones and hence they do not register these as their own products even if some of them are using a genuine manufactured spare part but technically not backed by BlackBerry warranty.

Hence BlackBerry does not recognise the pin and serial numbers of these devices as registered in their database and thus rejects them from using BBM services. That also explains why BBM services may not work even if you upgrade os or wipe since hardware ids are not changing.

What you have to do is go to blackberry.com and look for bes12 you can buy a license for a year or just get a 30 trial, you will be able to unlock 50 phones, and maybe even start a business since they are all locked there. If none of that works just try to get the android version.

You activate your phone in the cloud and you allow apps for your phone, it will be in the work space but if you have some sort of employment block for BBM you will be able to remove it but as I said if everything else fails you can download it from snap the android market app for BlackBerry.

No pc is required....just get the order the free Bes trial for one month...after successful registration you will receive a mail with a link of your cloud control panel..there you can add your device simply just with an email...

This is not your bes 12 console...login to your bes console then configure your activation email..

Hi, I have read your entire conversation... I understand you are finding problem in accessing BBM services. I just want to get confirmed whether you are able to use other functionality properly like;

a. Blackberry Hub- Email, SMS, Application centre etc
b. Internet: Through Wifi and normal 3G or 4G connection
c. Incoming and outgoing calls- through Indian SIM cards
d. Installation of new applications on the device
e. Or any other abnormality.

Please help me, still I have an option to cancel the order or refuse to accept COD.
