I think Cisco and BlackBerry would be a great combination of businesses and security. BlackBerry phones powered by both of them, how can you not like that.

Interesting that Cisco uses BB10 devices in their recent commercials Cisco TV Commercial, 'Hardware Store' - iSpot.tv
I noticed the same thing on MLB Network

You may also notice that Cisco did a Built for BlackBerry version of their WebEx software.
Very true! I guess ot woll depend on the bid. This will bring back in mobile with a built in base for business and possibly a deal with Fairfax

I just want BlackBerry to stay alive! And if possible, come back to profitability

Yes, way more than Google, that's for sure. I've been warming up to the idea of a Cisco/BlackBerry partnership recently.

I hope it comes true. Cisco BlackBerry partnership is a win-win situation. The most important thing is keep BlackBerry intact and moving.

I do, it would be better then anyone else.

Cisco make sense, especially if that are focused on the Enterprise segment. I'm in!
Cisco has the cash to push bb10 a lot harder than BlackBerry can right now.

You can bet of all the companies that are trusted to buy BlackBerry the two at the top are Microsoft and Cisco.
The better thing about Cisco is they have no mobile OS. They might have a use to continue BlackBerry 10.
And of course Cisco uses QNX in their routers. Obvious fit there.
The bad part about Cisco is they have basically zero history of producing any products consumers find sexy.

Wow. Interesting

I'll be the smartphone business is what's stopping Cisco. They have a history of buying consumer technology companies that they don't know what to do with. The Flip video recorder was canned two years after they bought it. I'll bet they aren't going to be buying anything that they don't have a solid strategic plan for. Even HP said they didn't buy Palm to get into the smartphone business. I'm not sure who's interested in getting into the smartphone business that isn't already in it.
Well then I guess blackberry would have to continue making the devices but with financial support of cisco. But this is just a pipe dream :(

And Linksys.

I was talking to some cisco engineers after a meeting last week and even they said that they had heard internally that cisco is potentially looking at buying BB.
It makes perfect sense for their TelePresence and UC portfolio for Jabber and WebEx.
Up until now I did not know much about cisco; I have noticed there logo and adds forever.
Lately I have been reading about them and I am impressed..!
I think that cisco would be a good partner for BlackBerry.
Especially since BlackBerry has gotten into mobile computing with there Z30 /OS10 and as has been mentioned there is QNX.
