After done transferring to my Z10 via Bluetooth, where do the files go?

Right after the transfer I'm shown the file name which I can tap to open. But if I want to find it again it's not even in the file manager.

The problem is, before or during the transfer it never asks for a save location. Anyone else having this issue?

It doesn't ask to save location, yet. However, you can find it by going to File manager--Device--Downloads

It's not in Downloads. In fact it's not anywhere that I can find.

I tried opening a pdf which I have transferred by going to the Adobe Reader app and looking at the Recently Used list. While I can see the name (icon is dimmed) I get the following error if I tap on it.

Where are Bluetooth transferred files stored?-img_00000124.png

Edit: I don't have any media card inserted.

How about doing a universal Search for the file?

You're not going to see those unless you're midtransfer IT'LL POP UP IN THE NOTIFICATION STATUS BAR IF YOU'RE DOWNLOADING AN ITEM FROM THE BLACKBERRY WORLD OR BLUETOOTHING AN ITEM RECEIVING OR SENDING

Go on to BlackBerry world and search for Ghost Commander. It's a file manager. Locate /external_sd and in the sub folder, you will find a folder called /downloads.
Open and you will find all the hidden files and thereafter you can move it to a favourable folder.
    I hope this helped.

1)As soon as the file is transfered, open it in"Transfer " or Click on "Open" .
2)You will see the file received in the Transfers history.
3)Click on it and select "Options" in the bottom right.
4)Click on "Share" and select "Dropbox". In Dropbox ,Click on "Upload" after selecting the required folder.
5)Open the File Manager and open Dropbox. Now move the file transfered to the required folder in the "Device" .

Note:You can do this for only one file at a time.

Or else insert a memory card and you can see all the files tat was transferred in "Downloads" folder in Memory Card.
The "Downloads" folder will be created automatically once the card is inserted.

I have stored my data in the sd card and now the card is lost.

I can see the data list as recently used. Iam not sure if it is just a thumbnail or is there a way that the data can be receovered.

The data is very important for me.........

Go to default browser and type "file:///" it works as a file viewer... you can see and open files... cannot transfer though

I'm using 10.3.1 on Passport and was testing the feature out, but was testing with a test file that had a size of 0 bytes (an empty Word doc). Though transferring it from PC to BB went through the motions, the file didn't get transferred. Not even an option to open after the download.

As soon as I added a few words, it did work, and went to my SD card downloads directory.
