    Well already bored of PassportSQW100-1/10.3.3.2163.

Perhaps if we make enough noise the blackberry gods will respond to our OS prayers.

    That's pretty well it for BB10, I don't expect there will be a 10.3.4.

LMAO. Since 10.3.3 was delayed by almost one year, most enterprise customers would have cut their losses by now. Besides, there is better support from BlackBerry for its enterprise customers by moving those customers to its Android/IOS solutions.

Those enterprise customers are happier to be helped moving to newer enterprise platforms acquired by and merged into BlackBerry offerings.

So enterprise users have some contract that guarantees updates?

Have no idea if 10.3.4 is still something BlackBerry plans to release... probable because BlackBerry hasn't said anything about it in a year now. But as others have pointed out the scheduled delivery for 10.3.4 has already past and it would make sense that BlackBerry, might consider 10.3.3 as their fulfillment of their stated support window.

Possibly. Not every procurement contract is identical. Why else would they pursue NIAP after BB10 was effectively abandoned? It was owed to somebody. Even though they are out of the handset biz they still need to have a good reputation with current and future services customers. That being said, tech does have a shelf life and soon there will not be anyone outside of these forums who will care anymore - if that point has not been reached already.

I think they pursued NIAP because they had already contracted with the certification company to certify BB10. By the end of 2017 no US government agencies were going to sign a contract for BB10 devices. Especially since BlackBerry had already announced they were leaving the hardware business.

I'd be happy if they just leaked a new version with no changes except for a higher software release version. Just so I have a reason to do a fresh wipe.

Haha, I know what you mean. Even when I loaded 10.3.3 it still felt great to see a new OS build even if there were no notifiable changes.

Blackberry did say we would get 10.3.4 so until they say it's been cancelled I'm expecting it to come at some stage. At the moment they are fully committed to Android and various other software adventures like the now remained BES service.

So, 10.3.4 matters why? Because it's "bigger" than 10.3.3. This is looking like other goofy spec discussions in these forums.

BB10 is what it is. Love it or leave it, literally.

I'm still happier on my BB10 phone than on Android or iOS for the simple reason that it fulfills my smartphone requirements. There is nothing on Android or iOS that I want, and there are elements of both if them that I dislike more than anything in BB10.

BUT, I don't recommend that the typical consumer get a BB10 phone, any more than I recommend that the typical PC user get a three year old Xenon server without a dedicated GPU for their home PC. That server will do some things really, really well (stability, low power/temp, more L1 cache, ECC memory support, I/O performance, etc) but, for the most part, it won't be things the typical PC user cares about ( CPU clock speed, support for the latest games, USB 3.1 support, low cost, etc.)

Get the right tool for the job at hand, and don't expect it to be a different tool.

Maybe, but I find it strange that no one at BlackBerry has mentioned 10.3.4 in over a year. Last Fall when BlackBerry was talking about BB10's future, including talk about 10.3.4 would have helped the message. I find silence about struggling products never a good thing for tech companies.

I just remember all the toxicity caused by the 10.3.3 delay. The torches and pitchforks were out! Notice how the grinding of teeth over 10.3.4 is barely perceptible in contrast? I think finally getting the 10.3.3 update and seeing that hardly anything changed finally brought about a reality check.
