Typically. Beta releases 2-3 months after an update I believe. And another 1-2 before it goes live.

I think it depends on how long before they can agree on a gold candidate....

One of my mates used to know someone who went on holiday to Waterloo once, and he met someone who used to work for RIMM in the pre-BBRY days. The info I've heard is that 10.2 was scheduled for release in Feb 2013.

More broken promises from the same old company - darn everything to heck, I'm going back to my Nokia 3310.

The speculation about BlackBerry OS 10 updates combined with Team BlackBerry's history of under delivery and BlackBerry management's abandonment of BlackBerry Bridge bodes poorly for the future of anything except BlackBerry essentially trying to peddle its software to other smartphone manufacturers much as Google licences Android. Thorsten suffers from Steve jobs envy while turning his back on German engineering principles.

You know bloody well that BlackBerry OS 10.1 was far from the update we need for our BlackBerry Z10s and Q10s to overcome the numerous deficiencies. Yes, there release did fix and/or improve a few things but the laundry list of features missing remains. No, I don't mean Skype, Netflix, Instagram, etc. I refer strictly to basic functionality. And the virtual keyboard seems to have gotten worse yet I dare not blame it on the colour change from blue to green. However, as BlackBerry OS 10 has only been publicly available since late January 2013 I hope BlackBerry gets their act together over the summer months just in time for the back to school sales season.
