Who cares when this update is rolled out? From everything that I have read, it is NOT bringing anything new to the table.

Sit back and relax and take a breath, it's a beautiful day somewhere.

This is because of the delay at NIAP for certification?

Do you see BlackBerry anywhere on that site?

For products in evaluation, https://www.niap-ccevs.org/Product/PINE.cfm BlackBerry isn't there.

It's hard to believe that is the complete list. Only a small handful of devices/software seems odd to me. We'll know in a couple of weeks I guess.

Those are just in evaluation. There is a much larger list in approved and archived products.

Yeah OK I can understand this, But there are no news from the BlackBerry. They could have at least posted a news of the delay. That wouldn't make people crazy. Actually it does. But not much of the craze waiting for the day.

Indeed, adding that those lists are unlikely up to date in time!

This is really annoying, either they have to tell the people whether it would take some time to release the update or atleast the reasons behind not releasing the update ,so that people wont go crazy. Anywayz this is not a good sign from bb, i would not care if chen had said the update will be in mid june , he should have said like december 2016 .

Again I ask. Why do you care in the slightest when this comes? There is almost nothing in this update for you.

The fact that the browser is built into the OS and not a seperate app that can be updated individually make my head hurt. What could have possibly been on BB's mind when they made this decision?

They've been saying the reason since the first delay, they're waiting on a third party to finish certification.

They can update it individually, they did it with Help, the Android Runtime ect; simply chose not to

The browser app is just the UI though. The guts of it is contained in the OS.

I'm sure if they really wanted to they could separate the WebView like Android, I've not seen the browser code (it's open source isn't it?)
