If BB10 is being killed off then can I ask if there are any good developers that can reverse engineer the OS for new phones. The idea may sound far-fetched but this has already been done with WebOS. Just really a thought to keep something good alive and kicking.

Assuming you can find someone who can reverse engineer the entire thing on their own and without source code (and for free, right?), you'd also need QNX drivers for new phones. Lack of them is a big reason the BB10 phones are mostly identical on the inside.

Well that is one way of doing it. Another less perfect way but easy and more hackey would be to make a new OS that supports BB10 apps.

By the way if someone would do such a monolithic task I wouldn't mind if it wasn't free because in the long run it's going to be cheaper than an crapdriod an IOS.

Install your own modified OS onto your handset? Even if this were possible at this point, it is going to quickly be impossible because of the FBI/Apple debate. Smartphones are routinely used for financial transactions, biometric security, and two-factor authentication. Not to mention practically all of the personal data that an individual can have. People who modify the OS are increasingly going to find them too crippled to be of use.

Let me guess, you've never been involved with major-league software development. Correct?

Early2Bed BB10 will not be snuffed until BerryDriod will receive the security certificates.

    Wow.
Well I'm involved with big software but I know that what I do is not as major league as an OS. I work on 3D environment software.
