    That's bad advice...letting those batteries drain all the way down shortens their lifespan. Once the battery reaches below 10% that's time to make sure and plug it in.

    I only asked him to try once plus who doesn't let the battery go under 10% at least couple times a month?

    He could be tricked that the phone is fixed and one day he's out and got 9% battery and wants to make a call and suddenly his phone shuts down?

    I agree. This has nothing to do with chargers / batteries / skewed battery tracker - meter etc. It is simply hardware design flaw. And I have tested this with 3 STL100-1 phones, 4 chargers, 6 batteries, many OS Versions. It will be in best interest of OP to get a replacement from BlackBerry.

    Made it to 5% (its at 5 as I type this) but I will charge it now, can't stomach it reaching 1% - lol...sorry
