Did you have to so anything to enable this? Got the latest 10.2 leak, and upgraded WhatsApp but it isn't working for me and no option to enable it.

Nope,didnt have to do anything. I just updated my whatsapp that's all!

Am on leaked 10.2.0.1371. There was no toast notification for whatsapp before.

Ok, so wasn't working for me so I removed WhatsApp and reinstalled...instant preview setting is now showing in Notifications / other apps/whatsapp

Worked for me as well. Did not need to re-install the app. Running 10.2.0.1371

They have the option to turn it on or off in the notifications settings of the phone for WhatsApp. Maybe that will help

Working for me.

Ensure you are on BB OS 10.2 and have updated to the newest Whatsapp version 2.11.66 that was release today. Go into Whatsapp, swipe down from the top bezel, click Settings, go to Advanced Settings, and ensure you have Preview Messages set to ON.

I believe that setting is to preview other chats within whatsapp rather than for toast notifications. The one I enabled was in the BB notifications under other apps

That's amazing OP, I only get pop up while I'm in the Whatsapp app. Never outside like your screen shot.

You have to update to the latest Whatsapp from last night. Then instant notifications will work but IN Whatsapp only!!!

If you're on the home screen or another app it won't pop up. This isn't like BBM or email toast notification which is baked into the OS and will pop up when in any app!!

It does pop up whilst using other apps too. basically everywhere on the phone.

You're right. That was already set to ON on my phone. I didn't have to change it.

Yep. Got instant preview for Whatsapp after the update. But I think you have to be on 10.2 to get this Whatsapp update.
