    That's nothing though, you can buy a android running kitkat or marshmallow and be worse off but apps take the mind off of that, Google only updates flagship phones, your left to root it and rely on some guys port of a update. I really don't care though my job hasn't started giving out phones with anything other than bb10 and when /if they do I don't have to pay for it .

    Google updates it's own devices, the Nexus series, plenty of times.

    Other OEMs don't update their devices often with Android.

    We're still yet to see what Blackberry does with Android.

    what I mean to say is that it's not pushed to the phone by Google and even the galaxy nexus only had a jellybean update then I was on my own

    That's good, now let's see what happens with the snapdragon exploit,there is now a major exploit affecting androids with qualcomm snapdragons, one thing about BlackBerry is they locked down their snapdragon, who knows if they will still be affected though, but on the android side only a few phones will get the patch, and they will still sell vulnerable phones to people.
