    Hi,

Im finishing up an update to my app: Charger Alert and wondered if it would be useful to allow users to change the temperature alert level.

It's currently set at 35C / 95F - which is the recommended maximum, but does anyone have their battery operating above this without too much concern?

    Thanks for any feedback.

What is the best 'Battery' app? I find my phone gets hot towards the HDMI / Charger ports on the side, I believe this is the same area where the battery contacts are. I dont have an actually temp though.

You can download Charger Alert for free, and it will display your battery temperature. Maybe you could post back here what temperature it reaches when you find it getting hot.

Ok. I downloaded 'battery lover', and played Beach Buggy Blitz for approx 5min. Temperature reached 39*C.

This battery temperature issue concerns me beacuse I had an iPhone that went thourgh a phase of intense heat, and it actually screwed up the focas on the camera. (Mr. Blurry cam is what my family and friends called me)

Now, I have only had this Z10 since last Thursday and I do have 15days to exchange it if I feel it is defective. Would you , or should I consider this a 'normal' operating temp?

That game kills your battery. Had the same experience and deleted it.

Games can be quite demanding of the processor, which in turn requires more power and therefore generates more heat. I don’t think what you’re seeing is unusual.

Thanks for all the feedback and votes, it looks like every option received a vote so Ive included all options in the new version.

For anyone interested, Charger Alert v1.4 is now available and with it the ability to select your alert temperature (amongst other new features).

    Any other feedback is welcome.

Mine has been sitting between 33C and 40c the last week and I can't tell of it's the Ottawa Summer, or the fact that I didn't re-apply the thermal paste the last time I moved my internals around. It was always sitting around 23-25 before, but it was also cool and rainy constantly.

It's nearly 30C outside today, so I wouldn't expect my phone to be down by 20..
