Advise needed from fellow crackberry users. What phone is everybody moving to? Considering its really only a choice of 2 and iphones are just not an option for me. I have two Z10's, two Z30's And both the red and silver passports, plus a Q5 for work. Whatsapp and facebook losses means that my phones will become basically useless apart from emails and phone calls. What's the next best experience, bearing in mind the hub is central to what I need.

Jolla is the only sensible platform in my opinion. I hate android and IOS feels like a shiny Andriod, both are equally functionless OSES but have All the apps.

How are their phones though? I have little to no experience with them and impartial reviews are pretty scarce. I was looking at either the nexus 6p or the S7 edge...not willing to go blackberry in case they do the usual u turn on the Priv. Been burned once too often.

Stay with BB10. Or move to iOS and stand the issues you might have with the platform in exchange of good hardware and the best app ecosystem in this planet....

Or, well, get a BlackBerry powered Android device to keep using most of the BB10 experience as BlackBerry ports apps and experience there like the Hub and etc.....

I think that the Jolla phone is ferry good. Has brilliant android support, native apps a well designed (QML based). I think this is the best alternative as developers can build a patch to make a hub like thing quite easily. My only dislike is the keyboard but then again I'm on a passport and all touch screen phones have bad keyboards. Right now the Jolla phone is quite cheep so to try it out you aren't going to bankrupt your self.

If you want screenshots of it just ask.

I don't think jolla offers anything over BlackBerry 10, you still have to use android apps if you want anything useful. Bb10 is just a more usable os for day to day life. And remember jolla is on the brink of disaster too, the only new phone running sailfish is a low end device for the Indian market.

Since you say Hub is important doesn't that mean the Priv is the only real option for you?

Hi, how do you find W10? Do you have a Lumia 650? I had for 3 months a Lumia 640....really great device, but I missed somehow BlackBerry and I had a terrible bug when writing long emails. But I would consider positive if they remove this bug and also improved the attachment management issues.

You are totally right, but i have lost faith in BlackBerry as a company. Who's to say that If the Priv doesn't sell, they pull the rug out from under us again. As much as I love BB10, it doesn't look good for them with mainstream apps falling away on an almost daily basis. I may wait until the earnings call. But I doubt there will be much to surprise us in that. Such a damn shame as I love my passport and still love the Z30.

That still won't solve the lack of whatsapp and facebook. More of a security update the way I understand it anyway.

One if they stop selling hardware tomorrow the priv will last you years. Google isn't going to the play store. So that shouldn't even be in the discussion about the priv

Well there is the turning phone and fairphone, I don't think it's on the brink of disaster anymore they've left that stage in the past. I believe that sailfish will become more and more popular as time moves on since the community keeps growing and growing. There are a lot of useful native apps just not many online apps that are native.

I'm staying with BB10 for at least the majority of this year. I might use it into next year depending on how things a looking or might considering getting the new iPhone 7 Plus this fall. The iOS experience is much more tolerable than Android and while I like my Lumia 640 there are apps I want that just aren't available for it.

    What's next?

    you know.... what they say.........
The philosopher*Didactylos*has summed up a alternative hypothesis as "Things just happen. What the hell"

    or for the simpel minded:
You need to believe in things that aren't true. How else can they become? ‎

Everything starts somewhere, though many physicists disagree. But people have always been dimly aware of the problem with the start of things. They wonder how the snowplough driver gets to work, or how the makers of dictionaries look up the spelling of words.

Looks like the wife is going down the samsung route. To be honest I think by the end of th year, I'll probably got the same way. Pointless staying with blackberry. They have made no further statement regarding the whatsapp and facebook debacle, which I find amazing even by their standards.

Whist I love my Z10 and have used BlackBerry for years, I have just got a Win 10 mobile as back up. The OS while not necessarily as fluid as BB10 isn't bad overall.
