Can someone explain what was this? searching didn't help (everyone is saying that word everywhere) looking through google image didn't help either, I'm sure I'm not the only one late in the game(bb10 game) that don't know what you guys are talking about ;p

It's the symbol that appears when the system makes you wait while it is doing something. On the latest leaks it is a rotating circle but it used to me a rotating square with a circle inside, hence the strange name.

You mean the almighty Squircle? Just a whole lot of awesomeness!

It was once the "waiting" icon like the old hourglass, two squares with rounded corners, one inside the other rotating in opposite directions, quite spectacular.

I'm sure someone here will post an image of it for you to see and indulge in it.

In the early leaked/beta builds of OS 10.2, the blue loading circle animation you'd see while waiting once in a while was replaced by a monochrome rotating square inside a rotating circle animation. Square + circle = Squircle!

Some loved it, some hated it. Ultimately it appears BBRY decided not to use it... at least for now.

I'll see if I can find an image, if nobody else beats me to it.

The Squircle has no straight line, only curves. That's one of it's characteristics

Check wikipedia, they have 'squircle' by name as n=4, a=b=1 for the parameters of a superellipse.

Could they make it an option? Maybe even the degree of 'squircle'ness, or ellipse-ness rather.

PS: I did search for squircle, those who said I should look into the squircle waiting room, maybe next time post the link ? because I did not find that. Remember, everyone in pretty much every post is talking about squircle at some point (I think some have it for their signature), so anytime you search for it you actually get the entire forums to look through.
