These are for category navigation.
If you type something and there are multiple things you can do in each categories, you can just scroll down to what applies. i.e. scroll down to calendar events pertaining to what you are typing.
Thanks. Must be because I'm on a leak on Q10 - nothing happens when I scroll through them.
It works for me on Z30 10.3.1 leak
Z 30
Weird. I loaded 2072 leak and they don't do anything on my Q10. So, if you slide to an icon, it will search that function/app? Slid one out here, but releasing it takes no action at all.
You don't have enough search results for scrolling to be required.

Anyone else having this issue? Assistant cannot find any apps I try to launch
Via Z10
It's been discussed before. OTA-like upgrade will cripple the Assistant's search. OS reload from ground up will not. So - wipe, if you wish it to work to its full extent.
I'm keeping my as is, hoping official OS upgrade will fix it, not much time to play around

It is not an action. It is a tab for navigation. Your search result is too specific and like someone said, you don't have enough search results.
Try typing two letters and stop, and then us the tabs to scroll down to specifics area.
They are like bookmarks so you can easily jump to sections when you have too much results.
Ok, now I see. It slides to the corresponding section. For some reason I was expecting it to perform the search in that area, but makes sense now. Thanks!
