What about read receipts? Loved to know when my boss read my emails. Or was this just a Verizon thing? If I'm missing how to implement this please advise. Now on the fabulous Att network!

No, it wasn't just a Verizon thing, it was universal.

I noticed that in 10.3.1 BlackBerry added back a 'notification tones' folder named 'classic_other' !! Pretty cool

10.3.1 added a few things off the list so far. Once 10.3.1 officially releases I will edit the list

    - option to leave messages on server
    - auto bcc
    - calendar: show free time in agenda view
    - icons in the top bar to show x unread emails, text messages, etc.
    - separate icon for each email acct on home screen
    - hitting Q to switch to vibrate only

With reference to PGP: I found that the PGpgp app works quite nicely, even without BES.

And thanks a lot for this list!

You know there is a delete prior option right?
Press and hold on the date bar above the email and select delete prior. Will delete all emails prior to the date/time selected.

There's a lot that you listed that is in 10.3.1. However you need to keep in mind that BBOS is a very old, mature os that has been through many many years with many many updates and additions through the years. BB10 is still young and these things will all come with time.

what I miss is the silky smooth transition in bb os especially closing or quiting apps.

BlackBerry 10 is smooth but it is still slow and not classic compared to bbos

BlackBerry 10 cannot be told, 1 must try it to feel it

You don't have an email provider with Push enabled or you forget to enable it client side on your BlackBerry ?
Because Sync is not the same thing. I receive my email real-time with my Gmail account.

Yahoo doesn't support push email. In the days of OS7, BlackBerry was doing the job for Yahoo

The best way is to use an email provider which supports Push email as intermediary. With a Gmail account for instance, you can pop other email accounts. You can also forward your emails from your old provider to this new account to achieve a near instant "push to mobile". If you don't like Gmail, use Hotmail,... whatever today provider which knows how to run an email service

Why should anybody have to change email providers just to make BB10 work? In some cases people had the same email address for 10-20 years, now they have to change?
