Great list of items. BB10 is a great OS, but going through this list makes you really understand why BlackBerry has always been a serious business device.

The guy with a single post who said Viber, needs to be escorted off the ship.

I said it on page 1 already, but I terribly miss the Contact GROUPS field, as it would sync with Contact CATEGORIES in MS Outlook.

Oh, definitely the BIS service for BBM usage. Granted, BBM is more accessible now that wifi is enabled for it, but I miss the very very LOW PRICES for the usage of BBM. Right now, I am inclined to subscribe to a data plan to fully utilize bbm outside my house, but before, I was just subscribing to about 2 bucks a month for an unlimited BBM service, no other data plan needed.

This is most especially useful especially for emerging markets and in Asia. Hope BlackBerry brings this back as an option.

The ability to select and highlight all of my emails at once and delete them.
Now I have to individually tap on each one to highlight and select and then delete. Try doing that with 300+ spam emails every day.
And if I forget one day, then I have over 600 spam emails that I have to tap individually to delete.
I miss my call blocking apps (that I paid for and can't use).
I really, really miss my "Notes" app.
I miss (big time) Contact Group" sync with my computer.

The thing I miss most, at least on BES connected devices, <confirm> functionality. Sure I can go into the logs and such, but nothing beats a device sending an automated message that a test email was received.

    this is a bit different

    1. It's a propriety standard, and I think a lot of carriers didn't like paying to support the service.
Before BlackBerry was a must have item, now it's not. Most carriers are dropping support as it is already. What makes you think carriers will gladly open their arm to it?

    2. Mobile data used to be very expensive, it's a lot cheaper now (comparatively), reducing the value of BIS.
    3. It allows ease of integrating into current exchange servers rather than requiring a BES server (good for smaller businesses), BESX available for larger corporates.
    4. Data compression isn't as necessary as it once was due to the increasing trend in network speeds/coverage

    1. That's a myth, carriers still sell BBOS devices and BBOS data plans today as we speak.

    2. My bills don't seem to get any cheaper

    3. BIS was a consumer solution

    4. I'm still waiting for the trend you mention to make an appearance here, it seems to me that carriers have kind of given up on expanding 3G coverage at the expense of implementing a very limited 4G coverage.

Out in the country BB10, IPhones and Androids are useless where BIS maintains usability.

Automatically adding "Bcc" in email, i am missing a lot since I rely on outlook emails and thru Bcc, I get copy of all sent mails in outlook. It's boring to add manually everytime in 10.3?

Adding a new contact to your address book. I could long press the info, then select "add to address book". With bb10 it makes me type the contact name completely... I can't even copy/paste it.

In BOS7, I'm sure I remember at ALL the call display info (name +number) would transfer to the new listing. I miss that!

You know there is a delete prior option right?
Press and hold on the date bar above the email and select delete prior. Will delete all emails prior to the date/time selected.

Add: Sharing on the BBOS7 hub to multiple Social Feeds. i.e. 5 Twitter Accounts, Face Book, BBM, BBM Channel, Email, Text.......

OP that never had Qwerty and BBOS BIS "don't get it".
BB10 is only now catching up with some of the OS7 features and BB10er wonder why we haven't switched.

RIM/ML just plain ignored what BlackBerry user loved and tried to copy the other mobile companies. We are just luck that JC is slowly cleaning up that mess.

The key to all the BBOS7 features was the track belt (pad). Press the menu button and walla you have a full menu. I would think with the addition of the track belt we might see some of this back.

Lets hope the new Q20 with a upgraded BB10 OS will be at least 80% of what the BBOS7 is. To bad some of the items named on this thread and the hardware features will never be on one phone again. They are lost and gone forever.
