When the 10.1 update goes live to my carrier, I assume the download size will be around the 1gb mark in size. Currently I only have 2gb of space left on the device and maybe less than 1gb after a few more purchases. Do I need to free up space on the device for the update or can I move the download over to my sd card? Or would it be easier to just do the update through BlackBerry Link and not worry about storage space?

Hmm interesting question. If you have movies on your device too, I'd simply remove a few of them for a while, perform said update, and then copy them back later...

I imagine you will need some space to temporarily store the update but after installation it should just overwrite the old os. I'd say your safe
