Like many others, my newly taken pictures and videos are not available in Pictures and Videos unless I restart the phone. It has been suggested that this is an indexing problem. If so, is this being corrected in 10.3?

Alternatively, I was wondering if it could be a specific app that is interfering with the process. Is there a permission that could cause a problem?

I personally have not, but others have posted that it didn't solve the problem and thought it was an OS issue.

It was a long time ago, but I believe I formatted it. This problem did not start when I put this card in.

The card has to be exFAT or you'll have issues. Search for exFAT here, there are threads on how to get it installed on your phone.

How can I find out? I didn't see the info in Settings or Meet Your Device? I do have over 1,000 files now.

Copy everything on your sd card to your computer.

Reformat the card using your phone.

To ensure you have formatted in exfat, remove sd card and check the file system using your computer and provided that all is good install it back into your phone.

Copy 10 or so pictures back into the photo's folder on the sd card and see if the photos app and file manager sees everything as they should.

Try this. I can't find anything about the driver for the phone for 10.2.

Had a similar problem. Downloaded SD formatter on my PC and formatted my card using this program. Solved my problem.

Agreed. I don't really understand what its definitions were based on. It occurred to me that it no longer notified me of a file being added to my SD card anymore but went off for something to my phone. Must have been holding up the process.

FYI, enabling the GeoTag Pictures while not being able to receive GPS signal creates a major delay of the photos indexing.

Glad to see the OP issue solved
