So far with the 939 radio it is better than 996 in my case though it's only less than 24 hrs since I downgraded it. Will post later for other observations.

Y'all just don't seem to get it. This is akin to "what's the best wheel package on the new Accord". There's most popular, and then there's what works best for you. While they may be one in the same, there's also a good chance it's not. Y'all aren't even sure what color car the member who's advice you're taking is driving.

Seek for yourself, and make no assumptions for others.

If someone is posting the radio version they are using it doesn't mean that they are pushing others to use it. It only gives them (the other radio users) the idea of what that person experienced of that particular radio version. It might be useful to some but not to others.

As for me, it's useful as I can try the radio version that worked for others. It's kinda review of a particular product for those who don't have any idea.

    Just my two cents.

Title of the thread is "best" (it always is, LoL), and any 10.3.1 radio will work. This thread goes on long enough, they'll all be listed. Shall I post a few examples from years ago? Here's one of my favorites:

"Best" is the keyword here but it doesn't mean that your best is their best. The best mentioned is it could be their best or best at the moment. It depends on the users experience on a particular radio version.

If the radio version that causes instant battery drain is the best for them then so be it.

Meanwhile I'm a wall huger 24/7 till a new (improved) leak drops.

I haven't tried 1017 yet but 939 is so far the best radio I tried. For me 939 is better than 996 but for others it may not be the case. Radio 1155 is a battery drain for me.

I've been experimenting with every radio since. 939, which wasn't the best for me. Currently on. 1152 from precious OS leak (10.3.1.1151). Hard to tell as of yet but this one seems decent. 3 hours off the charger and I'm at 91% battery life. Before I was easily between 75-80% by same amount of time. We'll see how it goes. Btw I'm a moderate user, mostly emails, phone calls, texts, some browsing.

Been on 1011 for about a week now. No sms issues, and no runaway system usage. So far the best for me. I'm on Verizon in central Florida, I also have a negative extender in my house, this has caused issues with many radios.

3 hrs aftr full charge still at 91%? Wow! I must try it! Currently I'm using 1017 for about maybe a week now and got 80+% after 3 hrs from disconnecting the charger.

Thanks shava for posting your experience.

I tried all the radio's off the 10.3.1 and see no big difference between them. What i see is that since i'm changed from network provider is that all the radio's are the same for me. No WiFi drops, no signal drops, no sms issues. My previous providers network coverage wass weak in some areas and drains the battery fast, also had a few missed calls and texts with that provider.
My conclusion is that the providers signal and network coverage is the main reason for the battery drain.

Carrier signal quality is also a big factor and I agree. Two days ago changed carrier and noticed that the WiFi and mobile data connection is not switching a lot unlike before.

I just installed 1152 radio a while ago and will observe if there is a difference in battery consumption.

I'm on 10.3.1.1154 and reverted a week ago back from radio 1017 to 1155. No problems so far and the battery life seems the same. Depends on the way I use the phone. When I browse and use the CB app a lot the battery go's fast. The same when I BBM a lot. But that's the well known problem with the Z10 battery.

Well I am using 1154 radio from this OS leak

Strong WIFI connectivity but my carrier signal can be 4 bars one minute then nothing. Never seems to hold a strong carrier signal, especially when in doors. The ranges I am seeing are amazing nearly full bars to nothing!

    Ok I installed 936 radio

When indoors, centre of home I can have 3 or a 4 bar signal, when I activate homescreen, then it immediately drops to 1 for few seconds then no signal at all.

    Hhmm
