Yep, if you encounter the soft brick like some others have just grab the core os autoloader I posted in this thread.

So has there been a conclusion on 969 vs 939... I'm currently on the former but reading that the later is the best radio people have tried...

Anybody tried both and notice a difference?
    Yes
    I had 969 1st then tried 939, now I have reverted back to 939

969 is the best. I have aprox. +40% of the battery life compared to 1155.

You will not lose apps as long as you currently have 1154 and use 1154 core OS autoloader.

    Mine worked just fine.

Since loading the 1151 os with an autoloader and updating the 1154 os and 939 radio via sachesi before using the device. These are the initial results after 30 hours of loading although I used my phone very less today as compared to my actual usage still the results are impressive and yes I am one of the users to get 6 hours of usage on my z10 and these are the best results since 2 years of owing this device.

I have been using leak 1154 and its radio 1155. The below screenshot is my battery life for last 48 hours. It was rather heavy usage, maybe 80% 4G and 20% WiFi. Since Dec 1st I have downloaded 504 MB of data. Average battery life is 1 day 2 hours.

Cellular signal reception is much better than 1016 leak but still issues with indoors calls. Even when the Signal app says the strength is only -90 dbm the phone still shows full 5 bars, it's kinda misleading.

I think that many people do not understand the relationship between battery life and signal strength, when choosing radio version files.

The radio chip is an electronically tuned transmitter and receiver IC with various amplifiers. Based on the particular chip and carrier SIM card information, the chip will tune to certain radio frequencies for broadcast and reception, as well as network protocol type. It will also amplify the transmitted and received signals, based on received signal strength from the mobile towers. Radio waves can be fully or partially blocked by many things, such as trees, hills, walls, doors, etc. Radio signal interference can affect signal strength and quality. Building construction materials, also, affect the signal strength. Different carriers, also, use different towers, which changes the distance to the mobile device and other towers. When the strength of the received carrier signal is weak, the radio chip increases the output strength of the transmitted signal and increases the sensitivity for the received signal by turning up the gain on the signal amplifiers. This uses more energy and causes increased battery drain. It is like turning up the volume on a stereo when one gets farther so that one can still hear the music. When the strength of the received carrier signal is strong the amplifiers' gain is turned down. This uses less energy, increasing battery life. This is like moving toward a stereo and turning the volume down for comfortable listening. A side effect of increasing amplifier gain is noise in the signal, which can cause loss of signal quality and decrease the speed of the data stream. This is why weak signals cause mobile phones to use slower data networks, or allow voice only capability.

The radio file is essentially a driver file: It is the software module that allows the operating system to control the radio chip, analogous to loading the proper video driver files on a PC, or motherboard BIOS files. Different phones have different radio chips. The differences are irrelevant, for the purposes of this post. Using the wrong radio file will cause issues with the phone locking up, bricking, having limited functionality, and potential physical damage to the radio chip. The radio file lets the phone's OS know how to properly tune the phone's radio chip. Loading the wrong radio file is like loading an Nvidia driver for an AMD graphics card. Just like PC's, different series of OS versions require different series of drivers. Much like an Windows 2000 graphics driver will not work with Windows 8, a BBOS 10.2 radio file will not work correctly with BBOS 10.3. As with minor revisions of the OS, such as 10.3.0 to 10.3.1 (which have significant coding differences), the 10.3.0 radio files are significantly different from 10.3.1 to cause the OS to not properly operate the radio and/or cause serious errors, until the mismatched files are rewritten.

The basic code in the radio file uses software math to increase the amplifier gain according to the strength of the carrier signal. This is like rigging a stereo with a proximity sensor to maintain a comfortable sound level: As one moves away from the stereo, the volume automatically increases. As one nears the stereo, the volume automatically decreases. The aim of the radio file is to make the best, fastest, and most efficient connection to the carrier network based on energy usage. The algorithm for controlling the radio chip's gain is the main part of the radio file which affects battery life, and is tweaked for efficiency as new files are created.

On a personal note, I have seen little difference between different loaded radio files on my Q10's radio performance.

    No BB Icon

On Telkomsel, I will still maintain data connection (browser works but BBM not ok) but there is no BB logo at the top right hand side. I need to switch off my mobile connection and turn it on again. Sometimes 2-3 times. This problem also occurs even when I am on WIFI.
All bb10 devices have the same issue when use telkomsel, no bb logo icon.
Year BlackBerry & Telkomsel, peace work together to fix this issu or make a special radio provider Indonesian..Please!!!

Anyone on Telkomsel experiencing the same problem as I?

The 10.3.1.1155 radio was utter junk on my passport. Bad battery life, poor vpn performance (1/10 th the throughput), not able to login to a wifi Hotspot, favor wireless data over wifi when wifi was available, not enabling vpn when the profile was associated with it, poor handover between Hotspot and wireless.... lots of trouble. I downgraded to 10.3.1.996 and it's much better. Still some quirks with vpn but useable.

I'm on tsel, everything is ok on me.
An icon is always there since turn on my data connection.

If you've lost your BlackBerry icon, just try resync configuration (setting>about>network> tap three dot at the bottom on the right side) and then tap register BlackBerry.
