What is this?
I came across this by accident today by opening the Hub and then touched the attachment button. Where is all this stuff stored and how to delete it? Tapping on the files downloads them, but from where and where do they go when downloaded?
Also, I opened a few and I have never seen those pics before.

These are the attachments in your email and when u click on files they download from servers and store them locally lets say attachments are pics then they will come in pictures app and stored in downloads section..

I've been wondering about this myself, I'm glad you asked. So they aren't taking up space on our phones and there's no way to delete them?

Yes, they are not taking space on your device, except you download them. If you delete the email that contains a attachment, the attachment will disappear on that list.
You can not delete list items as they only represent attachments that exists within your email

Well, the weird thing is that no emails with those attachments are on my phone. So they must be on the server then. I have to go to the PC and see if there is any old emails that have those.
Edit: Just checked, and yep! These are attachments that synced with my Yahoo email. And these are 5 years old and they were never on this phone. so when I set up the account it must have synced everything going back years ago.
I never touched that attachment button before I start creating any kind of message.

The attachment button only shows you a list of attachments from emails that are on your email server and synced to your phone. Unless you download these attachments, then they are NOT on your phone.
The phone is simply compiling a list of attachments to show you. For all intents and purposes, they act as a direct download link to every attachment in every email on every server you have your device synced to, nothing more.
