Since I hit the 10.3.1.2xxx builds I have been having a weird texting issue with my Z30
I open a current conversation in the text message app and i type the message and hit send and nothing happens, hit the envelope and still nothing happens. I cannot text until I reboot the phone, then it works fine until 12:00am but at 12:01am it locks up again.
Has anyone else seen this?
10.3.1.2267 on Rogers Z30
You might want to try a different radio. There are autoloaders for just them in thurask's thread.

found the issue.

Once the daily backup runs you can no longer send or receive SMS/MMS until the phone is rebooted
