C'mon BlackBerry! Even Windows Phone has a native Facebook Messenger client.

The Facebook application chat system is terrible!!! Half the time it fails to send messages or keeps sending them and never completes. You cannot send voice clips, files or anything else. What a joke!!!

We want a native Facebook Messenger client!

Yep that would be nice. But you should be yelling at Facebook not BlackBerry. Temporary solution is to download a paid app, there's a few

Is FB planning to keep Whatsapp and FB Messenger separate? Seems like they would integrate the two and it would just require an update to Whatsapp.

Um... no. I have an Android smartphone as my second smartphone. Facebook alone uses too much RAM and when they added the Facebook Messenger app that was way too much RAM usage (to the point where a 1 GB RAM smartphone is slowed to a crawl). I'm sure the BB10 version will be better done (coding and RAM usage wise), but still no.

How about a universal messenger where a Facebook messenger is included?

    Let's call it the Hub.

Guys STOP saying I don't want it! This is why BlackBerry is behind!

If you don't want it, others want it! You are not everyone!

I don't use it but why not have it for others to use it?

What does the FB Messenger app bring to the table that can't be done currently via the Hub or the FB app?

Because it's Facebook. And we're BlackBerrians. Hence we don't want Facebook on productivity tools.

Actually in other OS they now force you to download FB Messenger just to see your fb messages. (In addition, they force Facebook Places on you now.) It's not applicable to BlackBerry 10 users because it is already integrated into the Hub. That's why I don't want it. I don't want to be forced to run two separate applications when the current system already pushes my messages instantly.

Hahahaha. So because the FB app is "behind"so much and not good enough for your standards, you want BlackBerry to start creating and maintaining two separate FB apps? Because for sure that would work out great, right?! *sarcasmoticon*

Get it straight, FB does not support BlackBerry by themselves, it is BlackBerry that has to create/reverse engineer their app. That's why it isn't a 1:1 clone of other FB apps.

Get a third party FB messenger app from BBworld/Amazon if you want, but don't make such unreasonable demands.

Just to be complete, I think the separation of FB messenger is a moronic move in general. And I have never had issues with the Hub integration.

We is a relative term. I couldn't care less and if Facebook crashed and burned within the next second I'd be okay with that.

Built in messenger and the hub work like a champ, why do we need a secondary app for what we already have?

WTF? People don't get it all. Humans are no different then sheep. Tell the sheep follow me and it does. Tell the human he/she needs a separate app just for chat (because having 2 apps increases their advertising flow, trust me) and they believe it.

I will remember the day when pocket computers future was killed - the day the iPhone was announced and the big human-sheep transformation had begun.

Right now I don't get ANYTHING showing up in my Facebook section of the hub.

Facebook's terminology seems odd to me. On their website, if you go to "Message" someone, it brings up "Chat".

Is there no way to get the Facebook chats in the hub?
