A BlackBerry 10 powered tablet would unlock the real potential of the QNX platform. Multitasking possibilities could be endless on a BlackBerry 10 Tablet.

As much as I'd love a BB10 tablet (a PlayBook 10 perhaps?), I really think that BlackBerry needs to focus on their superphone efforts and really get some decent footing before expanding.

Yes you are correct, they need to focus more on releasing a super phone and while the world is still amazed, they should quickly hit them with a sleek Tablet as well. So they should run the Super phone and Tablet project alongside, with the Super phone given more priority.

It is possible the new CEO can unkill BB10 on the PlayBook. The claim was it was laggy, but who knows.

I personally think it is too late for BlackBerry to get 'back' into the tablet market. They can hardly get BlackBerry 10 off the ground fully, much less focus their energy elsewhere...

Full HD screen? If not, it should not be released at this time.

I agree. I'm eyeing the Microsoft Surface deal they are having now for $199 and wishing I could spend my cash on furthering the BB10 platform. But now that my 64 GB PlayBook has died...

I hear a lot of people say they have a BlackBerry, but their next new phone will be an iPhone because they have an iPad and they want everything to be integrated. Tablets and phones go together nowadays. I think the PlayBook is awesome - some slight tweaking needed and it will be awesomer. BlackBerry needs a tablet to stay competitive.

You could easily fit the guts from a Z10 into the PlayBook. With 2/3 of the remaining space for battery.

(and there is a lot of extra Z10s sitting around it being sold)

I think just a 12" touchscreen that interfaces to z30 would make more sense.
Tablets are lame. Just another device to waist time copying files to and get bothered when you loose it.

Integration between a phone and a tablet is nice, but there are so many multi platform programs and apps that they don't necessarily need to be from the same platform.

With the Mobile Hotspot, Evernote, etc, etc you can make a BlackBerry work with any tablet.

They have to concentrate and handsets.

Correction* YOU think tablets are lame. While I like your interfacing idea, there's no need to bash a rapidly expanding (and useful) market.

I'm dying to get rid of my Galaxy Tab3. It sux with too much bloatware, spyware, etc.. and I'm over iPad toys.

It shouldn't be too difficult to make a 10inch tablet version of BB10. The ecosystem is already there. Call it a Z100. I'd get that in a heartbeat. Let's hope BB10 gets in more hands in 2014 and I'd bet a tablet would be next.

Lol. No thanks! It's worth around 400 and plus I got the 3 year replacement plan.. I'm going to keep it and replace it in a few years for a tab 4 and sell that for a down payment on the BB10 tablet. :crossfingers:

One that can connect to my Z10 and mirror the screen and all sensors so I can play games on a bigger screen.

Blackberry has an interest in creating a full ecosystem. My Playbook was essential to my daily work before I moved to bb10. I would jump at a blackberry tablet that could bridge to my phone.

Lenovo makes and sells business tablets. Blackberry could pull this off and keep is fan base happy.

Before I got a PlayBook (64Gb for $60... they really have become that cheap), I knew nothing about them. That says a lot for a pretty tech-savvy guy like me who owned a BlackBerry phone; I took the PB to be BB's white elephant. Add to that all the disinterest in general - it failed to impress all but those few who bought them after they'd been deeply discounted - my final verdict was that it was that "useless tablet that keeps going on sale." And even then they weren't exactly flying off shelves.

What a shame; now that I have one, I see that it's a great little unit.

So, maybe we DO need a new OS10 or better PlayBook. But what we need more is for BlackBerry to learn how to market things a hell of a lot better first, or the new product will end up being white elephant v2!

There's no excuse, other than terrible (or non-existent) marketting, for the PB to have flopped so spectacularly.

Blackberry is dead; long live Blackberry!
