Hi. I am using the passport. The wake screen for new notifications is not working. It used to.

I have checked settings etc and it all seems correct. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Just do a hard reset, and it might be an app causing the problem like hub++

I have deleted any apps added since the problem appeared. I'll see if that helps. I really want to avoid a hard reset as I would have to install everything again which would be a pain...

A hard reset does not remove anything, it like refreshing your pc, just hold your volume up and down buttons until the BB logo appears.

Nope. Deleting those apps made no difference unfortunately. Blackberry are making it hard for me to take their os seriously when comparing the it to other platforms

If battery saving mode is on, it won't work. That might explain why it's working when the phone is plugged in.

How do I control battery saving mode? From what I can see, that is only available in 10.3.1 and I am just using the standard passport software version which I believe is 10.3

Check your Settings. If you have any Battery Savings Mode it should be there...

Hey the notifications lighting up the screen is unfortunately not perfect yet. Sometimes it might stop working for some notification and come back again.
Sorry, it's a new feature and hasn't been perfected it seems

So the actual official os running on my blackberry should be considered beta then? Not very reassuring

Its a good thing blackberry is not looking to strengthen their brand and reputation at the moment.....

I've had problems with this feature too, I found it would only wake up my device if my phone is laying flat on a surface. If the phone is horizontal it will not work

Hmm that's a silly statement but whatever makes you feel better

What would make me feel better is software that works as it is meant to on the phone I paid over $700 for.

I dont think you guys should be high fiving and patting each other on your backs for producing defective software.

In fact, if blackberry had a bit more respect for their customers, they might not be in their current position.

So "hey, we just haven't done it properly dude" doesn't wash with me.

Now you know that the current OS of Passport is not polished, save yourself from those bugs and load the latest leaked.
