By trying it you mean actually buy a smartphone with an OS that they haven't ever used and then wait for apps that may or may not come. That's a lot to ask.

I agree, but its how everything starts. It is Blackberry's problem to solve. They keep trying to piggy back their way through by first copying iPhone with full touch storm then piggy backing android with the runtime and now full on android device. Long term success cant be borrowed, they need to innovate and create.
They need to offer something people can be convinced they cant live without and support it.

I don't think that the Priv was made for "loyal" users or BB10 fans.
The Priv is a good device in its own right, I don't see it as a replacement for BB10, just as an alternative.

What I find more interesting is that the high-end phones (Passport and Z30) are clearly winning.
I wish they would have brought the Priv with BB10.
Hardware-wise BB10 never had a fair chance, because BBRY never released a premium BB10 VKB phone.
