Yes, it's true. There's a die hard core, but Apple and Android have spent so much money on marketing and advertising where BlackBerry has spent practically zero that the general public has no knowledge that BlackBerry even exists anymore. The carriers here don't promote them and if they carry any devices at all its one or two and usually never where they can be easily seen in stores and online. The sales staff, for the most part, don't know anything about them. Sad.

Don't forget: Music Shortcuts is not the only setting that causes Long-pressing the volume keys to work differently.

Any app that uses the Volume Keys as a shortcut/convenience key will replace the volume key's default behaviour.

I highly doubt this is a software "bug" for more than 10% of you. More likely the Media Controls, or an App are interfering with the default behaviour.

(I have Media Control enabled and no Apps set to use the Volume keys, and as long as there is no music playing, long-press works fine to change volume.)

That's really sad. Even here in the Emirates I can hardly see any or none BlackBerry advertisements. All I see is Sony, LG, Samsung and a Chinese company called Huawei advertises more than BlackBerry. BlackBerry ads are only on Magazines :/

i have problem too in media volume especially when you playing music or video, changing volume up ad down sometimes need several time pressing the button, and always make the sound lag when the button pressed.
its in Z10 since 10.3, dont know for other model.

I have the same problem. Believe me 10.2.1 for me was absolutely flawless. No lags nothing.
I have encountered a lot of problems with 10.3

I have the issues that when I hold a volume rocker, instead of it increasing / decreasing continuously, in only increases / decreases one bar.

Also, when I'm watching a video and I press a volume rocker the video lags a bit.

Edit: I have shop BlackBerry BlackBerry Z30 with OTA 10.3.2.

This sucks, I used to just have to hold the volume up or down. Now I have to repeatedly press to obtain the same result. Could you imagine if we had to do the same with the power windows on our cars?!? No, didn't think so... C'mon BlackBerry software engineers - fix please!! Ahem - meaning ASAP !

I like it better this was because when the phone is in your pocket sometimes the volume buttons get pressed and dramatically increases/decreases the headphone volume. Especially with the Z30. At least this way it only moves one bar.....

No apparently this is very annoying and suckish. It lags as well while increasing. Stupid Bug. I don't know why I always cuss when I increase or decrease my volume lol
