If you're implying the borrowing of OS concepts, BB borrowed the active frames from Nokia's Meego Harmattan. I don't know if Microsoft gained any Meego rights when purchasing Nokia, but if we want to get really technical, everyone stole the basic card concept from webOS.

I think Steve Jobs once quoted something about great artists stealing. OS development seems to be cumulative and there is so much theft going on that I don't know how anyone can file a patent infringement suit with a straight face.

That open apps screen sure looks a lot like the BB10 active frames screen.

It's too bad an open video doesn't play minimized in its active frame on BB10. Would reinforce the whole "true multitasking" thing. Of course it's not needed, just looks impressive.

Windows 8 was horrible but MS is doing a great job with Windows 10.

The tablet is a Dell Venue 8 Pro.

Blend works fine but I'm hoping for a tablet optimized Blend version.

the "frames" aren't anything new for windows either as they have had them windows for many years. They just look a little different on windows 10 and a tablet

Does anyone know what tablet and build of Windows 10 Technical Preview That is?

I might install Windows 10 on my Teclast X98 Air 3G instead of 8.1 if the tablet version is good enough. I've never seen Windows 10 like that so I'm awfully confused.

I've been told Windows 10 is bad on a tablet because it doesn't even have the basic swiping features of Windows 8.1

It is the 9926 technical preview on a Dell Venue 8 Pro.

It works really well for a beta. Better than Windows 8 anyway.

The OS is very gesture based in tablet mode. In Desktop mode it is the familiar Windows desktoo.

I checked too. The cheapest I see right now is around $120 for a refurb on amazon.

Deals spring up from time to time though. I have seen them under $100.

Cool... thanks. I see there are a few variants, too.... the more expensive one has an active digitizer that works with the new styluses and the other is the older style.

That looks impressive! I really wish Microsoft success! So we have more choices on our hands. I personally don't like the Android tablet too much. I hope the Microsoft can give a good fight to the iPad. iPad is too good a tablet out there, and no other tablet can even touch its position as the king of tablet.

I think I'd rather have full windows on my tablet than the same crippled iOS packaged in a larger screen. Lol

Hp stream 8 is also decent for a basic tablet. Picked one up during holiday season for around 120$ at futureshop. Comes with full windows 8.1 plus microsoft office subscription

I think there's a US model that also works on 4g, unfortunately that one hasn't made its way to canada yet.

My understanding is that the upgrade is free and lasts forever but you have to install it within a year. In other words, if you don't upgrade in a year, you will have to pay.
