Hi there,

Just for your Info, If you're like me and hate these bulls**t starter apps for wikipedia etc.:

Use the universal search!

Here's how: BB10 supports Opensearch.
1. Open your browser
2. Goto searchplugins.net and look or create a search plugin for your website.
3. Install it
4. In the BB10 setting dialog is an entry for search Provider. Here you can configure if these newly added search providers shall also be used in the universal search.


Next time you need something translated or described, just write it and open the website throught the universal search.


I use it for wikipedia (mobile site), amzon and dictionary.

Thanks a lot. This helps so much.!

Would it be possible to delete a certain plugin individually? I am able to reset all search engines but not one by one.

You can deselect it in the search settings.
By doing this, it won't be used for your searches.

Nevertheless it will remain as an entry in the settings dialog, but will not consume any power or so (it's deactivated) nor will it show up in the universal search.

Actually I found a way to delete it when not needed. Within the browser.

Awesome!! You can set the new search plugin as your browser default as well. Just type anything into the address bar and choose the new provider in the dropdown box at the top right.
