It will only show on a computer if the BlackBerry Device Manager applet is installed on the computer.
It is installed as part as BlackBerry Link.

Once link is running and the phone is connected it will show as a network drive. You can simply drag and drop files back and forth.

Enable USB Mass Storage under Storage and Access, plug into computer and you get a REMOVABLE DRIVE. It is the SDcard only, not internal flash memory.
With Link installed properly you get wifi of both internal and sdcard

You can't. You need to have BlackBerry link installed. That's the crappy part about it. The usb mass storage is half baked. It's useless in other computer because it won't work without BlackBerry link and you can't even access root folder. CRAPPY.

True! If you're at a PC that's not admin locked, in most cases simply plugging in via USB will prompt driver install, and you'll have access to both internal and SD storage. For most that are, you can move what you need from internal, pull the SD and use an adapter to read it. For those on heavy lock down, nothing will work.

Enable mass storage under settings, it makes the SD card look like any usb.

This works in my car, allows my car to access my music as if it was a usb stick plugged in.

No need for link, or any driver install.

That would work if the OP was using an SD card. As it is the UMS is not an option.
