I started having sync problems after I switched to a Z30. The syncing took too long. Then I terminated some syncs in the middle since it seemed frozen and I had to leave the office.

Then I switched back to my Passport -- which synced fine for years. No longer. The Passport started giving me errors and not syncing. I tried to fix it with some code language from Blackberry's support website pasted into a command line, but gave up when Windows rejected the language for some reason.

So I did a fresh install of the BB Desktop software. A few times. Now Windows 7 is not even recognizing the phone and Link cannot detect when it is connected via USB.

I know that people have had USB issues in Windows 10 -- but Windows 7???? I thought Windows 7 was in the clear.

    Has anyone had this issue?

I had similar problems, the source was in windows 7, I tried to reinstall bb sw, then drivers and at the end I had to reinstall usb drivers https://www.nextofwindows.com/what-t...-stops-working .

My device just started working on its own after I deleted one old calendar entry it was choking on. I don't know why it didn't tell me to delete the entry before.

I think it does. Some people had problems with iTunes or something. Win10 might have caused hiccups.

Yes, you should be able to do this. Search the threads or try different things like restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling Link, use different USB Jacks, etc.

Try use Link and Blend simultaneously. It helped me. After I set up Blend via wifi (it was connected through USB though), Link also could connect via wifi, and I could make backups again
