Did anyone twit this to BlackBerry support?

Obviously you haven't read that many posts in the threads concerning this issue. I have tweeted to @BlackBerryHelp, others have posted in Blackberry Support forums. The answer from BB is that they are working on fixing the issue.

Same here! Sometimes, it says 'Downloading' for a split-second prior to it running into the Network error.
Yes, I see this sometimes, even for several seconds.

Just install the previous Runtime bars. No need to wait.

I don't think that BlackBerry makes new bar files.
They have get the files from previous os and put it on BBW.

I downloaded the previous version of ART to get rid of some annoying Android apps and free up some memory. The incessant reminder messages from BlackBerry to upgrade the OS again were so annoying that I put the ART back to its bugged state. I guess that a skeleton crew is now in charge of BB10 and they don't know enough about their own app store network interface to fix the distribution problem. The fact that they simply replaced the ART file without changing the app world display screen to match shows they have taken their eye off the ball. The A team is now down the hall working on the PRIV.

I must admit, even with the automatic updates turned off, these are *really* beginning to get to me too... I think what's happening is that any time I turn on or off either my WiFi or network data connection, or connect my phone to Blackberry Blend, the update "check" is somehow triggered.

As I do this several times a day, I seem to get these nags all the bloomin' time.

There's only so much a man can take before he goes back to his Nokia 3109!

    Regards

    James

Hi JamesW_UK. Pleased to meet you. I get the update notification regardless of connecting to wifi or using Blend or anything.

Furthermore, the claim that this "nag" won't happen if one turns off auto update in settings, before rolling back the ART, is, well, not true in my case, anyway...

Wow just had a thought. I guess all the BlackBerry 10 phones they are pushing to sell have 10.3.2.2836 OS so all have the broken ART. Thats not going to do much for BlackBerry 's reputation. Maybe they should tell new customers they can download all the junk Android apps they like until they get a memory full message. Then just fix the problem by doing a factory reset. Simple!

Will the apps I have deleted on SNAP get removed if I downgrade to the previous ART or must I do a security wipe?

Thanks in advance for a response

I was on 2876 with the 2813 ART and kept getting the update prompts. So last night I updated OTA the 2876 ART files, about 85 mb. Then, without rebooting, I then reinstalled the 2813 ART bars via Sachesi, and only then rebooted. So far, no update prompts. We'll see if it holds.

When you downgrade the runtime you will have the ABILITY to delete the apps - although that doesn't happen by itself.

If you don't have Cobalt's stuff installed, you will need to install Android Settings or an App Manager app like Ghost Commander.

If you log in to your Google Play (Snap) or Amazon Appstore on your PC, you will still see those deleted apps on your account, but you can also then manually delete them from there. You will be able to completely uninstall all android apps from your BB10 device from now on, and also remove them from the app websites.
