    Hi,

I downloaded the update OTA and it was at 93% Installed when it seemed to crash and start downloading again. Unfortunately the new update size is 1.5GB instead of 1,002MB, the update will not proceed because it says I need another 2.2GB free space (I assume the update files are still kicking about somewhere).

Has anybody seen this or got any suggestions?

You can start moving stuff to the SD card and deleting things from internal memory (apps included) to make room OR plug to BlackBerry Link and let it do the heavy lifting (Link will download the OS to the PC and install to your device).

Same problem observed here on my Q5. Will try BlackBerry link and perform a clean install of the update.

Thank you I'll try Link because I've already done the the moving and jiggling.

There is no update available through Link so I guess I have to wait .

I have since tried to install via Link.. it took nearly 4 hours only for it to fail with a critical error message at 93%.

    Any ideas?

On a personal note, there is no reason for BlackBerry to force users to use their internal memory for the temporary downloaded installation files. The device should utilize the Micro SD if it detects one installed in the device.

Not that you will like to hear this, but backup completely, wipe then try the update again.

Test your backup and even make 2 if possible. Can't have too many.

If you really want the update you can do a wipe of the device first then try downloading it again. Or download the autoloader and force the new os on the device

Q10 on Fido - same issue. Hours of download and install only for it to error out at 97 percent installed, telling me to start all over again with a 500 mb bigger download. I wonder if the wrong update pushed out on some carriers?

Got the same issue. Downloading the bigger update now. Hopefully it works out.

I deleted more data so I had nearly 5GB free space on the on board memory and this time successfully updated OTA. I will assume the x2.5 calculation BlackBerry use is not quite sufficient for a successful install.

I have had warnings that my system ID has changed and that I may lose data, is this usual for 10.3.1 or perhaps due to the failed upgrade?
