You're probably deleting certain carrier apps like news stand/the score and the updates are to put them back on your phone. I just hide them in a folder with the other junk apps i can't remove.

Not really, i haven't deleted any carrier app. I am a roger customer tho . i just think the update server got issues really or probably because or the LTE max that just hit rogers dunno really. There is a tread about this same issue .

Sounds like the update screwed up some of your phones. Mine won't update, sounds like that's not a bad thing. Does Crackberry have any information on what this update is?

To add to this, my update seems to stop st the 98% mark of the download everytime, says the update failed.

What the hell is going on with this? I don't even care about getting the update at this point, I just want my phone to work properly again. This has crippled it and I didn't even install anything.

My contacts have been doubled for a while now. Not sure why.

I cannot download this update. It continually says connection interrupted. Plus I was getting prompted to install another update for the past 5 days that also failed to install with a connection interrupted error.

Sounds like I'm just gonna wait till 1.2 cause this **** shouldn't be happening.

My friend has the z10, just checked with him, his stops at the 98% as well apparently, same as you also, he has none of the problems I have. Just my luck then. My keyboard has fixed itself, but my contacts are still messed, apps really slow, and new texts only show numbers, no contact info. Bah!

I'm a Rogers customer and see the same thing. It says there is a 1MB "Blackberry 10 Applications" update. It runs, but thats it. I reboot and it says I still need it. Never removed any of the Rogers Apps either.

Did you try restarting your phone? I know it sounds basic but my favourite technology problems are the ones that fix themselves. I hope you can get this result asap. I noticed when my phoned synched with my fiancee's facebook it doubled up some of my contacts but it sounds like you're experiencing something completely different.

I have rebooted like 10 times already. It doesn't fix anything. I used to have the contact doubling issue a month ago, it went away by itself, and now it is back.

I guess it is a case of too many people trying to download at once than the service provider's capacity. I downloaded mine from Koodo, ON around 11am without issues.

I was tring to update all morning and at last i figured out what was wrong. I uninstalled shoot club, then no problems.

I got this update this morning on Telus. It F'd up my contacts list!!! Now I have numbers with no associated names and names with no associated numbers. NOT HAPPY camper.

I don't know why everyone is having such problems upgrading to the new OS. My phone updated no problem and with no bugs or anything. I'm on Telus in Ontario and only had the previous official OS not a leak installed.

Had the same thing here with Rogers, rebooted the phone, update now says it is the latest.

Got the update on Telus in Alberta (64 MB)

Software is 10.1.0.2014, OS is 10.1.0.2050.

Got the exact same update right now. 64 MB on telus too.

I downloaded it and now I'm stuck at 100% on boot screen for 20 minutes plus now. Tried waiting restarted and got the same result.
