Could this be a corrupt sys.airtunes file?
I remember something similar on one of the early 10.3.1 leaks.
Safest and easiest thing to do would be a security wipe.
If you have time, you could try sideloading sys.airtunes again. You will have to extract apps from the debrick file of the OS you are currently using. Search the forums for the download link, or use sachesi.

Have you tried another mp3 player app? At least we can resolve whether there is a problem with your file.

if you are not going to tell us what is in that bloody file that can't play. Give us all the specs, all the metadata, your download source and if it is illegal, etc. etc.

Also in less than 100 words, tell us why you think the file you have must be supported.

This isn't the file. The latest OS update is screwing things up. I had a list of songs that played until the latest release which for my Z30 is 10.3.1.1767.

In my testing, I used 4 songs from the same source and tried to play them one at a time. If song one played, then song two would not and song three would play and song four would not. The music player has a problem with it's seek or next song file read mechanism.

If I select the song manually, they all play.

I had this problem but a hard reset fixed it. Not just a soft reboot.

Same issue. 8 out of 10 songs imported from laptop play fine. Transfered songs via USB cable to phone. Songs from legit purchased CD. Reset not helping.

Do files that previously played still play? And have you tried a different source for your mp3s?

I made a short list of a few songs that got this error. I removed all music from phone. Put all music back on. Some songs now play. Some don't. I just have to accept this. It's too bad.

    Go to

    File manager
    Looks for the song
Over flow button with 3 dots
    Properties
Rename the file with ".mp3" at the end.
    It should fix the problem.

I'm not saying you did or anything, but if the file can from a illegal site, then that's the reason for your issues.

As the sir above me has said, open the file properties and ensure the file is a proper .mp3 and not something else that has just been renamed
