Is anyone experiencing problems viewing the Toronto Star's website on their BB10 browser? Please have a try and let me know if the website displays for you.

    thestar.com | Toronto Star | Canada's largest daily

For me it just sits at a blank page with what appears to be an hourglass type graphic in the center of the page.

PS: load it in your browser so that it redirects to the mobile site.

Problem loading the mobile site. Turn on desktop mode in the browser and the site will then load.

    I've experienced this on 10.3.1.

Workaround (if you don't want to use desktop mode and still use mobile):
After the himepage has completed loading the first time and is showing the empty page with the pulsing loading animation then click the Home text in the page header. After that the page loads and you should be good for the session.

Took too long, in my opinion, but it did load.

It's a decent mobile site, but every page seems to take too long.

I'm pretty sure it's due to the loss of flash in 10.3.1. If you press the overflow menu and then open the page in the flash browser then it loads fine.

What a ******** idea to ditch flash.

Thanks everyone. I'm using a Classic with SR 10.3.1.1865, but I also experienced this on my Z30 with different 10.3.1 releases. The strange thing is, it might load ok on the first attempt maybe one out of ten times.

Anyway, it's the only mobile site that has ever given me a problem. Seeing as pages take so long to load, I always wondered if there was some issue on their end.

Why would they rely on flash for a mobile version of the site? Now that's a ****** idea.
