    Im a new blackberry Q10 user (converted from iPhone). I still use my @me.com (icloud) email address and my gmail for backup. After Auto-loading to OS 10.2.0.1047 I'm not able to sync with icloud anymore. I get the following message when setting up my account and entering in my password.

    **Unable to log in: SMTP server smtp.mail.me.com, port 587 does not support authentication. Try setting SSL to StartTLS, or removing SMTP user and SMTP password from the configuration.

    Everything worked fine in 10.1. Appreciate any help or ideas you folks may have. Thanks.

    From the error I'd suggest first turning off SSL in the manual configuration which you can find in the account under the accounts section in settings.

    Do you still have your old iPhone to test? I've done desktop support for years, and I've seen things happen at the other end at the same time, not related, pure coincidence.

    Removing SMTP username/password and sticking with SSL worked. Looks like Im just a noob. Sorry for the post.

    Setup using IMAP not the automated way.
    imap.mail.me.com
    993
    Ssl

    Then for smtp:

    Username: not email address
    Then Your Password
    smtp.mail.me.com
    587
    Starttls

    Use push

    I'm not on 10.2, but my me.com account just stopped working on Q10. I've tried ALL the setting above, and I have the same account on Playbook working perfectly. Any ideas?

    Please help, I need to add my primary email (iCloud me.com account) to my new Q10 and I can't due to port changes in BB.
