    Two words: Locked bootloader.

When this is the case, then even an Android with this "feature" won't be able to run Ubuntu (or any custom ROM not using the stock kernel for that matter).

Short of praying to cthulhu and going on XDA to ask hackers to brute force attack the bootloader, we will never see Ubuntu OS for the Z10.

I understand that people want to have Android apps on Z10, because BBWorld is kinda short on that. But why in the world would you want to use android on Z10? Why not just buy Android phone?

Seriously though, how many apps do people actually need? This whole thing about needing apps is beyond a joke now.

It's not just the number, it's the specific apps, many companies only release. For ios and maybe android. At work we use a software package called epicor to track product and jobs through the plant, every supervisor and above had a bold 9900 tied into our bes server. Now epicor makes an ios app, now as we replace phones it is iphone we are buying, all managers have ipads and they can't wait to shutter the bes servers.
