    Sorry! I don't understand what you are saying. Why would I want to create a shortcut for "Search"? Even if I could do it, whats the advantage over hitting the Search button on the home screen? Would the shortcut open a different search app or something?
    I'm not sure about Android but iOS quick search is really quick even though I don't like the way they bring up that search box.
    Are you really trying to use this "If You Can't Convince Them....... Confuse Them"?

    I try not to confuse the already confused any more than they're confused already.
    and if I can confuse you into taking a POSITIVE view on things rather than complaining than I've done my job!!
