hi all,


i'm looking to solve the volume issue of my z30, it's very very low. if i am in the traffic it's very very difficult to hear the other person during a conversation


IN YOUR OPINION


It's a problem i can solve installing an alternative radio or it's a OS problem.


I had installed all the new leaked but the problem still here.

Okay, just wanted to clarify which ones.

I had a similar problem in an Android device and it was down to the ROM/OS I was using. Not overly helpful, but it could still be software as opposed to a faulty device.

I do find this quite troubling and will probably hold off getting a Z30 until we know what's causing this.

Have you adjusted the call audio settings? I had a similar problem on my z10 until I enhanced the treble in phone settings

I tend to believe it is not a hardware issue. I have loaded most 10.2 leaks on my Z10 and a few have adversely affected volume on the speaker side. The 1767 build has had no such issues.

Yes I believe the volume issues with many devices are due to the need to always optimize battery life. A future os update might make it better. The hardware was more than capable on older devices (I once had a conversation with an engineer about the same subject ) it's all about how the os utilizes it. Think more like an updated sound driver, but that's conjecture. I don't have file versions and code examples to back it up.

even stock OS (1521) on the z30 had low volume, but how loud do you really need it. It's low but we can hear fine.

Have you taken the screen protector/cover off? It is normally covering the speakers/mic in the box.

A friend had the same problem (not with a BB though).
