I thought passport would be released with 10.3 and classic later with 10.3.1.
10.3.1 would be rolled out to all devices including passport and older phones.
Seems 10.3 is just to get passport out asap.

Huh? 10.3 leak runs awesome on current devices. And it is still not fully mature, currently the build is less than a 1000. Why would BlackBerry not release it for the older devices?

They just released an SDK. There's no point, unless the OS developers are testing apps on will release, on the models it's written for.

Why not. It will force us to buy new devices,
There is only few millones actual bb10 on the market and the specifications for new devices are much superior than actual ones ...especially STL1-100
Just think on the old devices which never got the update
Storm2, Torch 1, Curves... Playbook...and others

The UK will never be on 10.5 before the anyone else. BlackBerry is a Canadian company, it's not a BRITISH one.

So it's more like the UK will still be on 10.2 while the rest of the world is on 10.3.1!!

And it'll be Queen's fault for not getting sooner.

Just an FYI, you may be confusing rumors. It's 10.4 that may not be compatible with first Gen devices, ie z10,q10,q5...

Oh please ... let's be honest here. Those of you who are on other BB10 devices will get the 10.3.1 update shortly thereafter IF (and it is a BIG IF), you are not in the US. I believe the US is scheduled for 10.3.1 update in 2016. And guess what else ... iPhone 7 or 8 will still look like iPhone 1.

Okay, then be honest and point out that everyone on 10.2.1 no longer need to wait on the carriers for the update. They will get 10.3.1 when it is made public. I was told that straight from BlackBerry.

Yet BlackBerry is releasing the new devices in the UK, 10.2 & 10.2.1 first came out in the UK.. Mhmm, UK gets updates much faster.
