IS it true that OS 10.3 wont be coming to Q10???

apparently OS 10.3 will only be relased with those two new phones at the end of the year
classic and windmere or whatever

so it true that there wont be an OS upgrade for the Q10 ??????????

or 10.3.1 ..im just an average user
just wondering about these new updates because id really want it

I read somewhere here on CB that 10.3.0 won't come to the current crop of BB10 phones, BUT 10.3.1 will be released for the existing phones.

Take it with a grain of salt, IMHO it's all just rumours till it happens.

10.3 is for the new hardware which will come with the new BB10 devices. 10.3.1 will be for the rest(Q5,Q10,Z10 and so on).

All devices will get 10.3.1. 10.3.0, will be for the classic and probably passport on release. No worries have a coffee and chill. Your phone will get an upgrade to 10.3.

The reasoning for 10.3 coming out for just the Classic and Passport is to give those to devices some exclusivity (besides the fact they already look awesome as they are...) and one more reason for current BB10 owners to want to upgrade. 10.3.1 will come out shortly after for all BB10 devices.

However, if history has anything to say about it there should be 10.3 leak available that is either the same as the version for the passport or at least very close. This you'll be able to load onto your device before the 10.3.1 release (September). And if you're in the States you're pretty much guaranteed a long wait anyway for 10.3.1 (think January at the earliest).

That decision would contradict the direction they have taken the past couple years with OS releases. It would be a shot in the foot for them to abandon other BB10 devices.

At lest that is what BlackBerry have told
But having in mind similar statement regarding BB10 on PlayBook, I will not believe it until I get a OS update notification

Oh please ... let's be honest here. Those of you who are on other BB10 devices will get the 10.3.1 update shortly thereafter IF (and it is a BIG IF), you are not in the US. I believe the US is scheduled for 10.3.1 update in 2016. And guess what else ... iPhone 7 or 8 will still look like iPhone 1.
